Tommyrot, scary, very scary.
I was also playing drums in the 60s and 70 in the Northern Ohio local roadhouses.
I was even so hard up for money that when I was first married, for the first time, I spent a MISERABLE summer playing hillbilly (C&W) music, 5 nights a week.

Hated the music but do have to admit there was 'way more than enough free beer and pooooosey for boys in the band

Thank bygolly, after that I got back in with some pretty fair rockin cover bands.
