We all forgot to mention that Bob (Fitz) was there with us on Sunday at Speedworld. So was Jim (harley). Boy, Fitz was ready to race, all he needed was a cobra. LOL.

Karl, that is a great time. A 60 foot time of 1.5 is also lots of fun. I ran a 11.60 at 129 mph last year with a 2.25 60ft time on bfg's. Traction is the key. Great time. Scott

Thanks Scott. My 345.55.15 BFG Drag TAs with 16#s hooked up pretty well, after I got them well heated. I did smell quite a bit of tire smoke after hitting second gear but it kept pulling and going straight, so I kept after it. Although I have a 10" 3200 RPM stall convertor, I think the combination probably works out better for drag racing than if I had a four or five speed. Sure made me smile.

Thanks Brian. I'm old enough to remember when Sox and Martin, Bill Grumpy Jenkins, Dyno Don Nickleson, and those guys were running about the same times with their pro stockers and how wonderful I thought that was. Its also about the same as what the old Dragon Snake ran that held national records for a long time. Just amazing at what can be gotten through mufflers and on DOT tires now. Anyway, sure was a fun ride!

I did, I did, I did. Still chuckling about Jeff taking the blame for my transgressions.

Good Gawd Mikiec, how you opened yourself up! But, being the ever-caring person that I am, I'll take the high ground and not seize the opportunity. Much gnashing of teeth and biting of tongue going on here. I'm sure that the folks at the track are very understanding that there are SOME of Dearborn's finest that just don't run too fast, even when the have more than 10 PSI oil pressure.

Eric, I got the avatar from Hotfingers from Ohio. He's got his SBC running in the 10's and he was kindly enough to shoot me a copy.
