You didn't go, were not telling ;D It was quite warm, 2 rows smaller than last year do to FFR being at the beach. I left Knott's around 11:30AM to go to the much cooler beach.

Fine, I didn't really want to know anyway!

Hey Paul I have a couple low-mile O2s if you want them, I just need to get a couple plugs first.

Actually I picked up O2 sensor and a plug it snaps into earlier today, thx for the offer. BTW the beach was much more fun, probably 15 degrees cooler with a nice breeze.

Default Knotts

This was my first visit to the Knotts showing. "Knott" wanting to throw any cold water on it but "is that all there is". 3 Corbra vendors, Vintage wheels, some speedster vendors and one engine builder. Other than one speedster vendor and the engine people they didn't even have info to hand out. Were my hopes higher than they should be? Where are the tire vendors, other wheel manuf., parts suppliers, etc;

There was more going on at Dukes. Mostly F5 stuff, but Gordon was there.

I thought there would be more to look at.

Enjoyed looking at all the cars though. Good Arizona reprentation considering the distance.

Dennis..

AZ Cobras will drive almost anywhere. We had 1 car not make it due to a blown head gasket. Still a fun trip.

Not yet. I tried AZ a while back and they didn't carry them anymore. After that I tied up the O2 leads and then forgot about it. Pretty sure NAPA has 'em.

The Knott's show was definitely smaller this year. A lot of that had to do with the separate Factory Five event in Huntington Beach. In the past, there have been more manufacturers... and Cobra accessory suppliers & vendors... as well as a larger variety of cars... although Knott's has been a Factory Five-dominated event for some time- understandable, as it's the American Handcrafted Automobile show.

The current state of the economy probably plays into it as well... as far as the attendance of manufacturers, vendors, AND owners.

If I understand correctly, the Factory Five event in Huntington was a cruise-in, organized by Factory Five for Factory Five owners... I don't think it was deliberately intended to compete with Knott's... although having it the same day as Knott's does kinda make you wonder...

No harm, no foul tho... I enjoyed both events.

Don't be too sure about NAPA or any auto parts store. When I was looking for mine almost all of the auto store guys told me that they don't carry them because it's against a Federal law to remove the sensors. They are a pipe thread and I think they were metric. I found them at an old, as in older cars, auto parts store on the other side of Tucson.
