Quite an impressive track record if you read all the way to the bottom.

I wonder how you'd go with torsion and beam testing? I've heard that various US-sourced Cobra kits have problems in this area.

There was definately someone that popped up here a while back who was building an Ultima - I think he might have been down Canberra way.
Awesome car, but I would go for the RCR over one. Surely there is not much difference in overall price, and it would be good to have Aussie support.

A friend of mine has one and I LOVE it! Would really like to have one set up as a track car! Great fit and finish and drives incredible!

the engineering on the ultima is second to none, and it does ofcourse hold a number of world speed records.
the gelcoat is the best I have ever seen - not a blemish, looks like paint. they also have a healthy export wing. id suggest you give them a call to discuss.

That's what attracted me to the Ultima. It's proven and when I have an 'Off' I want a steel chassis. Ultima have been around a long time. I've found one locally so will go and see it. I have a few friends that are also interested so we may do a bulk buy.
The other thing I like about Ultima is you can buy any stage of the kit you like. I'll get the basics first then buy more as I can afford it. 20k Australian buys you a basic roller. I source most of my own parts as kit supplier stuff is never really what you want.
I can't see any rego issues with the Ultima and I'll torsion test it if required ( I have the equipement available to test any chassis). The Brits build the best kitcars in the world IMHO and the best fibreglass. Hopefully I fit in one.

You mean...."the one Dick tried to drive but had trouble keeping it out off the roadside bushland"...
Apparently he was trying to avoid a large rock in the middle of the road.. ..FLASHBACK DICKY???

That's the yellow car that back flipped open because he forgot to do up the clips??
I don't think he had any success with it.
