Thumbs up

Ed,
Nice post. I made up my mind a long time ago that
I will use a Mod motor. I can see less to be done to make it even stronger for turbo or supercharging. I prefer superchargers. I have a friend that has the terminator supercharged and I cannot stop thinking
about how that thing pulls. The torque levels at 5800 RPM's which is unbelievable but I saw it and felt it. Most engines quit around 5200 RPM's
To me this is the wave of the future for Normally aspirated engines. I love the LS engines but they
are at their limit as far as I can see. Push it any more and longevity is compromised.
The mod motor has more moving parts but those parts take a load off singletary operative parts doing more than on thing.
Oh yeah, The mileage is incredible for a performance engine as well.

If I was building now it would be the Coyote. I have been reading the US Road and Track report on the new Mustang. Very impressive! Ole' Shel is smiling.

I'm keen to see what people do to de-ugly and de-plastic the Coyote. The 5.4 DOHC can look pretty good when it's stripped back to basics...

I'm amazed just how little kw Harrop managed to get out of the Australian supercharged coyote. Ford Australia have choked it back for future power upgrades for sure. Just reading through the specs they have even used a smaller throttle body on the supercharged engine compared to the NA crate motor.

Gets better. I see Shelby is still hanging in there with Ford and the Cobra trademark.

Can't say I like the sound of that.....Not sure why,,,just seems a bit "flat " to me.

Maybe it's just late...I'll listen again in the morning.

I think I would be throwing the std key away......

Just goes to show the potential of this engine, and I'm sure this would still be a conservative tune because Ford would still be thinking warranty issues etc.

I want one.
