Thanks guys, Merv the driveway is about 60 metres of gravel, do you reckon I could find second gear with my R32 diff? Paul, tacho is not working although wired in, I bought a "TPI Tech" 6 gauge set from the States, and it may be more suited to Neg. Coil inputs, I'll try Gavs 4cyl switch trick and see what happens. Justin (sideshow) has sent me a page on how to put a 3K resistor in the circuit which may help, I'll try that too.
The Master Cylinder is a 5/8" Toyota Hiace which fits nicely on top of the pedal box, and has about 30mm of travel, but there is not enough volume to do the job. I can start the car in gear, and it doesn't move, but take up is about a bees dick off the floor, I have put it in to be bored to 3/4", and that will give me 40% more volume.
