That is all Tim's work. I just sat in the car and steered. For years I've been trying to explain various aspects of the car to the family and yet even seeing and touching it meant very little to them. Tim's magic has finally relayed what it is all about in a medium they seem to understand. Non-car folks love the clip.
Just how much better is this than still photography. I can't think of a better way to remember, and pass on, what your car meant to you.
Tim is a car fanatic who built and drives a Clubman (Lotus 7). He knows and understand exactly what our cars and driving them means to us. This clip grew out of a simple request for a 'walk-around' video a friend in the US requested.
Chris, get in contact with Tim and have a film made of your Cobra. Perhaps you could sound track Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the USA' - just a thought.
(edit) That song is probably inappropriate. It was actually born in the UK and grew up in the USA.

Me too.
I've watched the video several times now, and I hear your words as well. Non car folks may very well love the clip, but car folks like us ------ we understand.

After the movie there always comes the book.
At a friend's suggestion I have compiled my quarterly diary notes into a coffee table book. It has been quite an undertaking but a first edition has been produced – see samples attached .
The diary notes started out as a record for my own use or anyone working on the car. They morphed in a quarterly update for friends, etc. I was amazed to discover there were close to 32,000 words. Space limitation (80 pages) means the number of photos was limited but there are still over 400 included.
I'm hoping it adds some provenance to the car and MAY add value if the car is ever sold.

well done it has been great reading the thread along the course of your build you have the patience of a saint when something was not quite right and near enough was not good enough .. and to put it into print what a fantastic idea.

410s coupe. Crikey Dave, do you think I run a payroll company!
Bolwell Mk7. Yes, but as you got there by standing on Rob's shoulders, only half a cigar.
PLEASE POST ANY Bolwell COMMENTS here.
Thank you.

Yes thanks Rob for the prompt. I was looking for anything with an oval nose, you could make this out under the car cover.
The Mk8 Nagari doesn't have this, nor a Dino or even Miura. Now a Miura replica would look great in my driveway.
The Mk7 has really nice lines. I was always keen on the Nagari but see the beauty in things once overlooked.

It has been a while since I posted but the GTO has been running perfectly. Just thought I'll add a comment on a modification because it has worked so well. May be of interest to Daytona owners.
I added a vent to the rear window purely because many of the GTOs fitted them. I have taken the car for a few runs since the vent was created and the lower cabin temperature in remarkable. You wouldn't think it could create such a drastic change - but it has.

Hi and yes I am interested for my Daytona and must say that it does look good on your GTO.
Can you tell me if you made or purchased the vent/outlet cover and if made, how you went about it and material
Cheers
