Here's one for the tech-heads who are all into bodylines and rear suspensions.

Missed Saturday's Cobra Cup but the paddocks were unbelievable and the races were even better. The GTO's (10 plus) and Silver Arrows, not to mention the Saloons, bikes, GT's (very fast XKE's) and F1 hardware were out of this world. As an American (and Southern Californian) I thought the tribute to Dan Gurney was particularly moving. All I can say is WOW! All this and flybys from the WWII planes really made for an incredible day. I'm sure I'm missing a great deal but it doesn't get much better than this I suppose. Highly recommended!
Thre were a few replicas racing at Goodwood including the Daytona Cobra.

I thought it was CSX2300, which would make it original.

No, the owner owns the real CSX2300 , but the car that was raced at Goodwood is a replica.

I took a million photos on our recent trip to Goodwood and the southern part of England (well 1100 or so actually)-- incredibly significant cars I've read about over the years, breathtaking scenery, historic battlefields and castles and cathedrals going back to Roman times -- but I reckon that this was among the best of them.

Dave Mel Ash and Craig enjoying the glorious autumn sunshine one magical morning at Goodwood.

The one hour highlights package is being shown on the SPEED channel in Australia on several occasions over the next few days, 8-10 Dec. Check your local times.

The double DVD package is availabe on e-Bay but make sure the DVD region covers Australian DVD players.

For those of you who remember that wonderful sunny weekend in September.

Brrrr! That looks brisk!

Peter, after our beautiful balmy month of travelling around the south of England before and after the Revival meeting, I mentioned to some friends that I wouldn't mind living in West Sussex around the Chichester/ Arundel area (right next to Goodwood, funnily enough), but looking at your latest photo of the chicane, mmm, now not so sure...

My wife and I are thinking about a US trip in 2014, so need to see if and when there is any classic car racing happening then.

It's easy to lose sight of the fact that there is also great racing at Goodwood.

THE big US event is the Monterey Historics which is the same weekend in August as Pebble Beach - they are about 30klms apart.

Check out the '2013 Events' on this site as it should give you an indication of what will happen in 2014. Vintage Racecar Journal Welcome

I don't know about that one specifically, but a number of them are Kirkhams.
