From the ebay listing below, "So as to the knockers on the forums, we’re flat out building and the others are closing their doors."

1967 427 AC Cobra KIT ADR Approved Fully Engineered in Melbourne, VIC | eBay

This has been an interesting thread for sure.
Just read that EBay ad, and saw a few statements like:

" we hope to have a full car built and tested by mid late next year"
" we are building a website at the moment and hope to have up and running in the next month or so."
" we will try to start on the chassis or body if we get a chance in between other builds."
Sounds like a lot of promises.

Tenrocca 08-28-2013 03:09 PM

One day he's selling the business, next he's selling more cars. I particularly liked the bit about starting "between other builds". That will really encourage prospective buyers. He really is not particularly bright, those willing to part with cash despite his reputation even less so.

Anyway I have reported his listing to ebay admin and referenced this thread. Not that they are likely to do anything as his current user ID has decent feedback (90% as a buyer, not seller).

From shakercentral to somestuffwereselling is Mr.Tuckers ebay trading name and nothing has changed

OZCOBRA 08-29-2013 03:05 AM

Yes going by his recent purchases (which he seems to have had trouble payin for!!)..,Mr T's next scam is obviously trying to scam product and pay (or not pay!!!)..via the cashless internet currencies such as Bitcoin and the like!!!

Bitcoin ...an identityless currency system. Unfortunately a system like this also attracts unsavory individuals. Seems to fit the bill!!! %/

Zedn 08-29-2013 05:42 AM

Some interesting items that he has purchased!

The armorstore sells bullet proof vests!

Oz that bitcoin mining is strange. Hmm, why would he want untraceable transactions!

did you take note of the sellers exemption under the returns policy?

OZCOBRA 08-29-2013 06:16 AM

You can't RETURN anything if you've never recieved anything in the first instance!!:LOL:

How will ebay get paid- re final selling fees when the the sale/production could drag out to two months or more?
Remember Mr T requires 30% up front!
It is a weird situation.

I guess like many ebay vehicle sales, its more a way of advertising the product, and the "transaction" is completed outside of ebay.

darkside 08-29-2013 04:33 PM

Any item that is listed on ebay and is traded outside its terms of trade is prone with problems.
Ebay will not offer any protection.
If payment is made via Paypal you might have some form of redress and time limits do apply for any transaction..

As a side note - it is alleged that both shakercentral and somestuffwereselling ebay listing is done by his nephew which explains some of the purchases.
