Craig is anyone close to being on the road? Or even a track test?
Hi Sambo,

My Pace 427 Chassis No.6 I think but it matters not what number it is .

The Auto Electrician is working like a little beaver ( I Hope ) wiring the car as we post all this stuff about 12 months and still no cars are on the road.

I wonder how long it took other Cobra kit car manufacturers before they had a car fully registered and drive able.

When my Pace 427 is fully registered you can be assured that you you will hear and see all about it on this Forum.

Cheers

We actually launched the PACE 427 early last year. Brad was the first customer delivery(he jumped the queue a bit chassis number wise) and he has had his 12 months.

Obviously we have had the product under development for a few years before that, so I expect that makes it seem like it has been around longer.

We are only just finishing the development of the last few remaining options and extras. Even this year I have still had 3 x full time staff just working on PACE 427 development.

Be plenty of PACE 427's finished and on the road this year.

A product at this level of quality, engineering and complexity of PACE 427 does not unfortunately happen overnight.

Yeah I seem to remember the first brochures in 2011, a body in 2012, and a rolling chassis last year. I guess I assumed the announcement of the pace 427 and the brochure was the actual product launch.

Cant wait to see a finished one at the nats this year. They should be a track weapon.

Cheers

I think I first got in contact with Craig in 2010, making an enquiry about an RCR kit.

He told me that they were developing their own product and that it would be some time, but he would keep in touch.

Time moved on...

I did not expect much. And how I was wrong!!!

The product that Craig and his team are delivering is amazing. I have been to the factory twice. There is no kit out there like this. Body, chassis, suspension, etc...

In my opinion it is 4 years (if not more) well spent. You cannot create this sort of product overnight. It takes many of us years to bolt them together for god's sake!!!

And if there is anyone who wants to call me an 'AP fan-boy' - Craig, please put this on a t-shirt, cap and stubbie holder

I will take one of each!

Tony

All agreed Tonus - the pace looks terrific.

It has been an interesting approach, and I know it is with reason as parts of the car are still developing. I cant imagine there has ever been a kit car manufacturer that has sold even one kit without actually having finished a prototype (??)- but its an approach, that has obviously worked given the apparent quality of the car and the number of cars being built already.

Cheers

I believe AP are now up to at least chassis #34.

Yes, 34 sales, and all without a completed or driving car.

That is all that needs to be said about what the quality must be.

We all can't wait to see one tearing it up around Wakefield.

Not sure what chassis number Pace are up to but I ordered #31 on 12 October 2013 and I am picking it up on 29 August. The quality is second to non and the development has been constant. The comprehensive kit is just that...comprehensive with every little nut, bolt and grommet to complete the car, just chuck in a drive train and your complete.

Cheers

Chassis Number 37........Has a nice " Ring" about it.
Will be black and Bad as, with LSA and 6 speed ( almost the default motive option for a Pace 427) We're all counting down the last weeks and days for you now Brad. Muzzza

We have been working hard expanding our resources in relation to logistics. We have had some delays in freight due to the complexity and size of the shipments and also development of our new pallet packaging and wrapping system. But we have been shipping one kit on average per week for past few months.

We are scaling up to get total manufacture & packaging time between 8 - 12 weeks.

The finishing aspects of the kit are are sure to amaze and hopefully really impress owners. Even our earliest owners benefit as we retro-supply new parts to all customers at our cost.
