RGF, those pictures from above remind me of a Factory Five cobra that was built by a bloke known as Garage Freak (from an island just off Florida if i remember correctly). Please take that as a compliment as his car was outstanding in the highest degree, and the photos he (might have been his son) had taken were terrific.
Congratulations on your achievment. Enjoy your drives

Don

Simply beautiful Richard! You must be so proud. Enjoy!!

What are the small chrome doodads on the back deck of the car just behind the rear brake light?

PS> More pictures will not offend!!! :-)

Thanks Don, that is very nice of you to say so! I'll be out in her again at the weekend, so long as the weather is good, that is!

Hi Paintwerks, thanks for the comments too. I'll get some more pics up for you over the weekend. The chrome parts are for the roof and hold in place a padded fibreglass rear stay for that. I've got the kit made (fittings, bow kit, etc.) and now I have to get it trimmed/made. But that means giving the car away for a couple of weeks and I'm not yet ready to do that !!!

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,

I had a squiz at your car at the Nats. Very nice you should be proud.

I always wondered with the high quality PACE body how much prep was required for painting. My CR needed a reasonable amount and my painter said it was a "good one".

Can you enlighten us on the prep work for the PACE body?

thanks

cheers

Gregg

Richard, you should be very proud, you have produced an amazing looking vehicle. Congrats. And I know you have plenty of little finishing touches to still do.

You have some nice unique features that are not apparent at first glance, but reveal themselves the closer you look at it when viewing in the flesh.

One thing that is an absolute (sorry for the pun) stand out is your body and that paint job. It is just amazing. It is a premium job and money well spent. A truly show level paint job.

Hi Gregg,

I am not sure how much they had to do, but I don't think there was much other than to remove the seams. the key was in the quality of workmanship from Exclusive Customs and the multiple layers of clear they put on over the paint.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Craig,

Thank you - I am very pleased with the finish and it is a great compliment that you are so impressed with it too.

I've had a lot of fun driving it over the last ten days since it was registered and I know that there will be lots more ahead.

As you say, now it's time to start on the little finishing touches that will probably take me years to complete, but I'm looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Richard

Thank you, that's a big compliment - I've always felt that Wazza has a standout car. I've got a long way to go to get to the standard of finish that he has, but I'm always up for a challenge!!!

Hello Richard,

The extra clear helps, but the reason your paint is so nice is the colour sanding and buffing. Excusive Customs would be in the top 5 body shops in the country right now - good choice.

Richard, really hoping you can enter the 2016 Nationals Show and Shine.

We had great success at the show and shine this year. Our two gelcoat cars got 3rd and 4th in the show and shine this year.

Our high level of finish for the the standard PACE 427 kit will give you a great head start.

But the show and shine is so competitive you really need a fully rounded/finished car to have any hope of a top place. So you need every aspect finished to a high level. You already have a fantastic exterior, great interior, you just need some finishing detail and time spent on finishing the engine bay and boot.

But you know where you are going with it, I am just trying to motivate you for next year.

The Factory Five Daytona which took out first place was IMO one of if not the nicest car Ive ever seen at nats. Everything about it was outstanding. Not seen many pics up so if anyone has any for those that weren't there so they can see what Im talking about.

Cheers
