Congrats to you and your other half. Hopefully it'll be under the xmas tree.

And if you are good maybe Santa will bring you a FORD V8.

Cheers

Dave

You better had get that new shed to fit a hoist in Deano. I'm a bit worried how the crook knees will go during the build.

I've been hanging out at AP for the last week or so, and that red is a beauty.

It's not far from the colour of my old race Cobra ( recently sold)

Looks like your on the phone there Wazza. Who you calling? And is that legal up north?

Anyway Deano, the red is appropriate given your engine choice!

It does look like that doesn't it???

Just lifting a visor...no belts on...going out up to line up for the hill climb at the Nats.

Pic taken as we enter the track at Wakefield Park...not a bad pic I recon.

Deano, it was a pleasure to have yourself and your better half for a visit to our facility.

I'm really excited about your styling choices.

We have really pushed the envelope with what is possible with our gelcoat colour range. So really excited to see you going with one of our new colours.

well project has officially started .I have started pulling the engine out of the VE tagging every plug I undo from the loom so I will have some idea where it goes come time to reassemble .
I think I will send the loom and ecu away to one of these guys that strip the loom and take the security out of the ecu and give to a loom ready to plug in and go basically.
on the good side I don't think this car has seen a dirt road in it's life it is so clean underneath . I have sold about 500 bucks from the car so far so that's a bonus .

will have the motor /trans/and diff centre out by the weekend if I don't go racing on sunday still getting over this dam virus wog thing I bought back from qld ..

cheers dean

Where's the fun in that?

It is possible to rework the loom yourself if your keen. I did it for mine which is very similar...not sure how much holden may have changed the loom around. I have a few files and instructions your welcome to if you want to have a crack.

Cheers

The beauty of the LS loom is that all the plugs are different apart from the injectors so you really cant go too far wrong putting it back together.

Have fun and take lots of pics with your phone, a photo will make things sooooo much easier when you are putting things back together.

im a mechanic by trade but semi retired and too be honest I haven't had a lot too do with this series of engine but like I tell the mrs its still just nuts and bolts lol.
but when it comes to wiring forget it I absolutely hate dealing with it .auto sparkys are a special kind of clever in my books im amazed and some of the stuff ive sent them over the yrs and it comes back fixed . I think I will stick with the original plan and pay someone to do the loom and take the security out of the ecu and make it stand alone without body control modules ect ect if possible .
I will build you a 138 grey motor or even a rotary to a big block chev with no problems but the minute I have to twist 2 wires together all I get is smoke lol.it always works out better and usually cheaper to get that side of things done by a professional .

cheers dean
