Hey spook,
Have you considered alumnised foam insulation like Boxy used if it's not too late?
It is meant to have a reasonable R rating and just gets sandwiched between the cladding and the purlins.

Nah Gav, just got the super dooper stuff in the ceiling. Nothing on the walls. I guess there are ways to improve the design but with everything else added in like driveways etc I had to drawer a line somewhere.

Good idea though.

I've got it on the roof but wish I'd added some to the walls.

However the wall lining I added since provides a heap of insulation.

Sounds like a nice colour scheme Spooky. I had the same idea. Red walls to match the red brick of our house, cream trim and doors to match. We used the same colour and profile colorbond for the roof as the house too.

I've got a bunch of clear poly carbonate sheets on the roof. They have a tinted version which looks a similar color to the gray colourbond we used. I've got them over the top and a couple on the sides above my machine shop area. Lighting is great during the day but doesn't seem to get too hot. I think one of the advantages of the barn style is all the heat rises up into the top of the center area. Down on the sides stays relatively cool

Cheers

For hanging stuff off my unlined walls.
I ran lengths of chain from ceiling to near the floor, secured to beams and cable tied items as required, the bay to the left of shelving has many VG Valiant parts attached in this manor.

Well, after 150mm of rain the last few days and the swapping over of the incorrect wall and gutter material we are back into it full steam today. This morning it was still a frame but we have made progress.

Looking good Spooky. It really is in a nice spot. I reckon it'll be a great place to hang out.

While the shed installer keeps on cracking, I have a multitude of trades people running around today not just on the shed but also the house. I've had working today
- Gardener
- Painter
- Plumber
- Sparky
- Chippy
and my fridge is on the blink so have a tech guy coming tomorrow.

Also happening is my driveways. Starting tomorrow its 2 pours a day for 4 days with 4am starts.

Here's what's happening on that front.

We're doing the shed drive pour first as it needs to be pre-set before next Monday as I have the roller doors going up then and we have to put the roller door trailer on it to hoist the doors. Praying the rain stays away.

And bloody Christmas is coming!!!

Awesome project! And that's a LOT of concrete!!
Give it some time to cure before rolling the heavy stuff over it.

Let the driveway pour begin!

I love the sound of pouring concrete in the morning.

Top driveway. We get a bit of rain up here and I am at the base of a mtn so to help with water flow we've banked the edges of the slab so as the water will funnel down to my lower spoon drain. It should help in stopping my sloped bank getting badly eroded.

Lower driveway.

United.

Pic taken 1/2 way up the driveway entrance view. Still have 60metres of driveway to pour.

I didn't want to bathe the place in too much concrete so I 10mm blue rocked my rear carpark. Its a bit more earthy and a la natural. Its only for visitors and stuff or when I just do a quick drop off etc so I figured it would look OK. I'm happy with the result.

There's 20 cubes just n this pic!

Shed progress pic. In a day they've roofed one side including insulation as well as the up stands in opaque acrylic for allowing in some natural light. Front was being sheeted this morning so by this arvo we should have the other side done and you will note the blue roof colour.

Awesome!
Just make sure they are hooking and pulling up the mesh into the middle of the concrete as they go and don't let the mesh sit on the bottom after the trucks roll on it.
