Any of the modern engines particularly the crate engines are very good value for money whether Ford Or Chev.
I have chosen to go with a Coyote Aluminator for the simple reasons below:

1. It's a Ford
2. All aluminium and light, around 200+kg
3. Bloody big, will fill the engine bay.
4. Economical...nah, couldn't care less
5 Easily complies with Aussie emissions
6 Plenty of grunt..420 HP, 390ft.lbs torque standard

Their are a variety of Coyote engines:

1 M-6007-M50 Standard
2 M-6007 M50S Standard sealed for racing specs so they cant be tampered with.
3 M-6007 M50NA Aluminator. Has heavily upgraded components.
4 M-6007-M50SC Low Compression for supercharginging
5 M-6007-SCJ14 Supercharged

There are other varieties as well such as the Boss and other race versions.
Thing to keep in mind with the Coyote is that it is designed to rev high so they must be geared accordingly and popping down the road at 110 on 1750RPM does not work as the power band starts around 2400RPM and their low speed torque is not good.
As Damage said, lots of good parts are being developed for these engines now including 8 stack injection
Have a look on the internet for pricing but they start at around USD6150 for standard.

Cheers
Russell

They probably call it a bit of a dog, because it likes to pi$$ on a lot of things.

So we presume that you park your AU 347 in the street for that same reason.

I know this will piss some people off but make sure you pick a FORD engine! A Cobra with anything else is just not right! And to go a little further, it needs push rods too!

No, it marks its spot in the garage next to the land rover which also marks its territory.
