This is worth the wait, great decision to go the Alumina.

Freeking awesome that this is getting done, nearly in my own back yard (compared to you over there in WA).

As another option Leroy, I'm not sure if this link works if you aren't logged in to Facebook:

Said with big smiley face as pace owners have a WTF moment, then realise my Saturday morning humour.

Regardless, this is artwork which takes the form of one of the worlds coolest cars.

Wow, that is a seriously great priced upgrade if it is only $3k up from standard body.

I'd guess you probably need to add a zero to that number.

AlbanyCobra,
well done on the decision. Would have loved an Alumina if the budget allowed so looking forward to seeing yours in the flesh.

Hard to resist a Pace once seeing them in real time

Cheers Chris

Thanks Mate....it been a long road....far longer than expected ( into our second year now) but that's not Paces fault in the slightest. Hopefully the next few bodies will get done in an orderly amount of time. I'm looking forward to going to Pace and checking it out.

By going the completely hand-made approach by such a skilled craftsman we are producing a much higher quality aluminium body than our competitors have with their pressed section bodies.

Which means much cheaper and easier brushed and polished finish if desired. Also means cheaper to paint as less prep work needed.

Also has the cool factory have a completely hand-made body.

Then we have stepped it up on the mounting technology used. The aluminium body will be supported by an infused epoxy carbon frame structure that mounts to our aluminium chassis. The body surface itself is only contacted in the same sort of areas if you were using a steel frame.

The aluminium body is also removable, so you can assemble the kit without the body attached as per our composite carbon body versions.

Albanycobra has been a pleasure to deal with, he knows we are trying to achieve something pretty special and his patience at being our first Alumina customer will be rewarded. Plus we gave Albanycobra an incredible deal to work with us on the first one.

Whilst I agree it certainly has a cool factor, and the body is looking just awesome, Im curious how a hand formed panel can be more accurate than one formed in a press or stretched over a die. Aren't the press and die perfect in shape and create perfectly repeatable panels? Not having a go, just curious.

Tenrocca, even a pressed panel body needs the panel sections welded together and most of the distortion occurs during the welding process.

There is a reason we are using the person we do, he has the skill, pride and attention to detail to produce exceptional aluminium bodies.
