The Daytona is on its way, it left New York about a week ago.
It is due in Adelaide on the 10th of November so it looks like Santa is coming early this year!

Awesome timing. You can track the ship if you know its name. I tracked my Coupe from the States to Singapore then WA. Then logged onto the Fremantle port web cam and watched the ship come in.....Sad I know....

I will coming over for the Nationals but that's as far as I'll be going unfortunately.
I had thought I was going to be coming over for work a month or so ago but it didn't eventuate.
I am following your build closely Chris!

Cheers Gav... interested to see what you will do given your current ride..

As well as the numerous parts 'left over' I have bucks for the hood and the body that are only going to find there way to the bin if there are no takers.... free to good home

Why did you make up the bucks Chris?

My coupe will very much be more a race car/hot rod than a refined street car.
It's being built for cruising and General mayhem rather than a long distance GT car.
I still want to drive it on club runs and the like but if the event is a long way away (like everything is from Mildura) it will be trailered.

Ah I know what you mean now, thanks for the offer but I've got that side of things under control already
Are you heading over for the Nationals Chris?

The 'little green monster' is dead I'm afraid.
I may have used it as a bulldozer through a concrete wall a few months back..

Hi all,
Well the Daytona is in Adelaide and I was hoping to pick it up today but apparently customs want to run their eye over it to see if I imported anything else with it
So the plan is to head over Sunday and pick it up Monday morning if all goes to plan.
Woo hoo!

I'm sure it will be fine Chris.
Or I will just email FFR and have them rectify it.
Courtnie said I had a complete kit with no back orders sent out so here's hoping.

Looks like the docks are being slack too, I just found out it's going to be mid next week now!

Gav there is much interest around this build.... Tell me, for the benefits of Aussie Mike, what is your time frame for completion.... +/-

Apart from what you get with the kit, what other items will you need to outsource. Motor, paint, upholstery etc etc. Do you have a particular car your going to emulate???

Also, not sure if you've thought this far but the Daytona's, unlike the cobras IMO tend to look better with a taller rear profiled tire. Any thoughts on this?

The engine and trans have been in the workshop for a while now.

As far as big rear tires go, stance is something that lets a lot of cars down, I'm planning on mine being down in the weeds with max tire in the guards.
Form is far more important than function!!
