When I had my Commodore tuned they set the speed to "exact" so 60 is 60, 110 is 110.

So you had new rear tyres fitted before the tune?

I had a cop tell me once, that ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. Lol.

Jaydee
On a couple of AU Falcons I've played with and had transmission issues I found that:

One would start and drive normally when cold. Whether I drove 10-15 minutes to the local pub or forty minutes to town. Stop the vehicle for a period of time and it would go into limp mode. Third gear only on restart.
I put a scan tool on it which showed live data. The solenoid valves weren't operating.
I pulled the round input plugs off the trans. cleaned out all the debris and that fixed it.

The second issue was a constant change from third to forth and back (constantly) when cruising at about 90km/h. The scan tool showed tps out of range. Changed that and problem gone.

Both these vehicles are six cylinder models with a smaller but similar trans.

I know this isn't your issue but it might help you a bit.

Dave

It's actually starting of in second and shifting roughly to third. In the donor car it also shifted roughly to third. I changed one of the solenoids. I can't remember which one. It won't accept a scan tool. Only by connecting 2 pins together will it show a flashing code on the dash which is now not there. I think I have had trouble selling the car mainly because it's a Auto. I also want a manual now. As I'm moving to a better place I might drive it more.

An auto is definitely quicker off the line, my old car was awesome when you were giving it stick, but was a but dull on the street.
