The idea that you have with the 'nutserts' will look great. I have seen a similiar scoop attached with rivets as the rivet pulled up between the inner and outer layers.
When you paint you can just paint over, as the 'nutsert' will be under the scoop - like the idea.
Unfortunately, my scoop attaches through a part of the bonnet that is double skin but glued/glassed together.
Hope to get over prior to the Nationals. Will see how I go with finishing the aluminium etc. etc.
