"We have modified all our chassis's (DRB Cobra, DRB 2000 and GT40) to accept the Mustang, (Cobra hand built version) 4.6 litre, Quad Cam V8. These new Crate motors, together with the Tremec 5 speed transmission are still available for $9,900.00. The Ford ECU is not available so we have adopted the Autronic ECU and as the motor is fitted with 8 coil packs, an Autronic CDI unit. This adds about $3,500.00 to the cost."
Im curious. Ive been discussing the ADRS with people who would be involved in my project and one of the things was having programmable engine management Ive been advised it then has to be locked for the maps to not be further edited.

Also the tune has to undergo a shed test, because even if the motor itself is ADR compliant by putting on an aftermarket ECU you then have to go an proove the tune is still compliant.

This all came about because one of the key people who'd be helping me on my project said to me it was blashpemous to put a chev in an AC Cobra.

Shed tests are expensive and it could take upteen many times to get it right, if ever.

I just dont see what the options are for new people like myself besides a Lexus or Chev.
