Bare metal
Since 18 months is far too long to remain idle, I've started a little project to keep me occupied over the next few months - a XC mountain bike.
I've stripped down completely the frame of my good old trusty mountain bike and binned everything except for the brakes and the pedals.
The weather in Melbourne the last few days has been great, and since I have no cobra to drive around in and enjoy the great outdoors, I've set up shop in the backyard stripping the paint back to bare metal on the frame. Originally I was going to prime and the paint the frame, but now looking at the bare metal has me thinking that perhaps I would like to keep the bare metal look - only problem is, how do I go about it?
I assume that the final result will need to be coated in *something*.....?
Any hints for someone desperate for something to do?
