I have been trying to open this picture in windows paint but my head isnt working correctly at the moment (off from work with bronchitus).

In the following pic you can see screws in the side post of the screen, I would like it to be just a little taller than the second screw (hole) you can see up from the bottom of the post.
Do you sorta understand what I am saying?
It doesnt need the upper section of the screen as I want it to be clear straight over the top.

I note with interest from your windscreen picture that you have managed to squeeze some race (style?) seats into your cockpit. I have been looking at this possiblity but just cannot see them fitting.

What model seat are you using and what width is the base etc? Did you have much trouble fitting them?

Any detail would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my seats from ebay, they where advertised by an ebay store as a pair and where sold as a pair, there arent any adr complaince tags anywhere on them though, so I am not sure if my engineer will pick up on this. (fingers crossed he doesnt)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-SOLID-MOU...QQcmdZViewItem
Also be aware that they didnt come with tracks (rails) but I did see that they advertise some seats with tracks, I asked them if they would sell me 2 sets of tracks but only got a vague reply of "we might sell them seperatly soon"

When I won the seats in the auction I paid for them straight away then after about 3 weeks 1 big box turned up, all keen to see them (but in the back of my mind thinking the box aint big enough) I opened the box to find a all black, reclining type seat, a quick phone call and I was advised there had been some errors in there dispatch department but was assured they they could see the error and my seats had actually been sent out 2 days earlier.

Glady 2 days later another 2 boxes arrived and I was all happy this time as they where what I wanted, I caled the company asking how I could send the other seat back and they told me not to worry about it and accept it as an appology for sending the wrong one in the first place.
Now that seat is going to be put either in the orange VW or I will use it in the old hiace campervan I have.

Hey there Trevman, it looks like the other new windscreen thread you created has gone, so I though I better redo my last post.
You mentioned "black chrome" I have not seen or heard of this before, can you show a pic or is there something that I could see that may have it applied?

I've not had it done before but seen it at the platers, usually on harley parts and such, this website gives a pretty good description.

No top piece for me please. It looks a little too chunky.

I got mine from Kevin Meyer (Vic Club Member) builds windscreens by order. Kevin lives in Croydon. Got the whole shooting match from him. Reasonable price for top quality work

the only problem i see is having it obscuring your vision

boxhead, i looked into the black chroming and it is very hard to find anyone in queensland that does it but i seem to be getting the opinion that it is very expensive
i will finish the frame to painting stage and post pics on the weekend sorry its taking longer than i hoped (been working long hours this week) but have been trying a few different concepts

Yep, Trev..no probs. You're welcome to visit again.

Just give us a call when you are coming.

Box, I saw the screen in it's very early incarnation. ie. one leg only.

Cheers
