Default What the !!!!!!!!!!!

Richard you should go into the car photo business. Love your Ute.

Vic Cobra club is run by a bunch of passionate cobra lovers who are dedicated to running events designed to accomodate a broad range of member interests.

You just cant please everyone, and some people just cannot be pleased.

Now for my 2c worth, I couldn't give a rats who you are, but anyone who complains about a club and perhaps it's shortcomings, but is not prepared to help out or be a committee member has only themselves to blame.

Not a bad pic there Richard, pity about the brand on the froggy green car.

I just realised it is the same color as my Homer car in my avater.

I'm sure Santa visits Holden drivers too, Boxhead, but only after giving out the good stuff to the Ford guys!
The colour is called Toxic. It sure makes some people crook. It will be considered for the Cobra when it's due for a re-spray in a few years.
Merry Christmas

Hey Boxhead I always thought your avater was 'Toxic' brake rotor!

I must be old cause i can't really see it.

Merry Christmas

P.s. I am not sure if Santa visits Holden drivers!

Maybe I shouldnt bring up this sore point but I think Santa forgot the Ford driver (Lowndes) at a recent race meeting.
It must have been Holdens turn to win again.

I'll put in my two cents worth here...excuse me if I don't do this correctly...it's my first time on the forum.

Anyway,

I read with interest , the comments about how the Victorian club should do more, and get Snaketales etc. out on time etc., and I can say I really FEEL for Tony.
I know as Queensland President for the last few years that it takes over a fair portion of your life, and it's not always possible to get everything done on time, and to please everyone.

However,
I know Tony and Jason and others are doing their best, and do a pretty fantastic job, and if it means anything to anybody, I would personally give them the big thumbs up.

Don't let a few ( Or even ONE ! ) unhappy member get you down, and understand that the majority of members would appreciate that you give your time and efforts for free, and only have the desire to help others enjoy the club when you go about your business.

On the other side of the coin, taking on the President's position also means listening to the complaints and doing what can be done to keep those members happy as well.

I know Tony and Jason will do what they can, and I wish the club all the best, and thank you very much to Rebel 1 for some nice comments about our Queensland gang..it made an early Christmas Present.
Happy Christmas,

Wazza

Hi everyone
This is the wife of Snaken.
I really enjoy all the family Cobra events I attend and all the people from the club.
I find the normal cobra talk boring. As I call it Cobra crap. You would never find me on this forum only that this is more exciting than THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Happy New Year to all

Well said Mrs Snaken - My wife falls into your category.

We welcome any of the QLD Cobra guys and galls into our home and enjoy the banter - even El Presidento's life experiences (jokes).

I am not a clubby type person having only travelled south for the club breakfasts twice in the last year. BUT I respect the effort such as Warren as of Tony put into keeping such movements moving (so to speak).

If you want to ***** about such people then either help out or go elsewhere.

And what stands out with the majority of QLD members???? - Mateship

Hello Folks,
I could go on about other branches of the club and small similar issues ..but I will bite my tongue and just say..accept someones opinion and take it in as a little bit of "information" that can be acted and improved upon. We can't please all of the people all of the time. (sound familiar ?) but we can improve our performance and attitudes. It's a club anyway not a business or a political party. When personal opinions start to be expressed {in print} things start to snowball. People can't assess others opinion with no emotional (live & personal) expression being shown... Opinions at a barby tend to be forgotten & forgiven with afterthought and a hangover.
I have witnessed this type of trivial "nastiness" destroy a club and shut it down. This wouldn't happen in a hurry with this club as it is very widespread and diverse BUT it is a seed that needs to be caught in the bud....I acknowledge that the club is made up of many different lifestyles of people...some have assets...some like me are damn broke ! A club is what I want to be part of, so I can Brag that I'm part of a special group that drives such a Unique vehicle. Not a bunch of elitists that don't want to know others or, accept change.

Please lighten up on these issues. It isn't as bad as it seems...things can be sorted.

besides Trevor could be a monster truck tyre changer ! ooooooh scary....sorry mister !

Don't take life too seriously.... it might stop ............anytime.

We're the Eagles and were here to tell you why......la la.
Maybe you Vics should sell your Cobras and give the proceeds to Eddy and
your much loved Collingwood so they can have a crack at the minor Premiership.

You got me straight up David.
IMHO clubs are for fun and if you're not having any, find a new hobby.

Hi Trevor, it would seem that the Vic branch of the club has a few supporters in here, I'm not taking any sides here. But some of what they say is correct, if u dont like the way the club is being run, then nominate for a position at the next AGM and help make some changes. I'm not 100% thrilled with a lot of the stuff our club does so I pick and choose which events I go to, and you can organise your own small runs with members who are local to u. Tom and I often go for runs with some of the local fella's even if its just for a coffee somewhere nice, and most of the time these are more pleasant than the big club runs. Your enjoyment of your car should not be limited to what the club is doing. Its the same as anyother club either help bring in change or go and find a new club if you feel the need to belong to one.
