Default L76 looms for shipps and rebel1

to rebel1 and shipps

started making looms for the l76

rebel1 i need yr engine loom to mod

plus yr gearbox plugs

shipps loom is 80% done

i have bought new micro relays they are half the size of yr normal relay

only afew bucks more expensive but it makes the whole job neater

most loom makers still use the big normal relays

i have started using the micro relays that are half the size

so i hope to have abit more room under dash or easier to fit

i can use micro relays on complete body looms but price goes up abit

anyway when u read this send us an email as i need to ask afew questions

so i can finialise wiring and send it back

thanks

Sideshow, I will send you the loom on monday.

However, the plugs from the states have not yet turned up. Is there any reason why you can't make the loom with just wire tails for me to fit the connectors to?.

That's just the Neutral safety switch, the back up light sensor and the elec speedp plugs. In fact, is there any reason why these have to go to the ECU?.

I'm not running cruise control or fuel computers so why does the ECU want these inputs?.

The rest of the loom remains as required.

cheers

some of the wires from the main loom need to goto the etra plug on ecu which i supply

its much neater if i have the loom to mod cause some wires run to front of car

but i cut loom apart nd run wires to ecu or under dash so it looks neater
otherwise some pwer wires would run down left side of car to front of engine

the ecu reads the speed signal input then sends the sgnal up to dash

so its different to how it was originally set up

i can wait till u get the plugs theres no rush just thought i would see how things are going

there is no neut safety switch for the l76 ecu the std t56 gearbox has a reverse lockout which stops reverse being selected when driving

but im sure the tremec doesnt have that problem

so the neut switch is not needed

anyway if your nto in a hurry dont worry lets just wait and send the stuff when u get it

i now have a workshop so i am bit more organised and get thru abit more work than i was when i was mobile

i hope to get more into the new holden wiring and stuff

as the l76 is an aussie engine and the next popular engine will be the l98

which i already have stuff for

so let us know how things are going and ill go along with that

thanks

sidey

Sideshow, Thanks for that.

I understand what you are doing to the harness and that's great for me.

It was just that gearbox stuff which differs with mine so essentially it will only be the speedo sender in the gearbox that will go to the ECU.

Cheers

Oopsy, I forgot to ask.

Jim, what size approx. is the little fuse box you will supply with the harness?.

I just planning on where I am going to put it.

Cheers mate
