hi allfie, on the street with my old engine [ flat tappert cam ] i use 295/50/15 radials, 26inches tall. pulled an 11.8 116mph revving to about 7000 or more with plenty of tyre spin off the line if youre not careful, same engine with solid roller revving to only 6000 rpm, i fitted a worn set of mickey thompsons et street grooved slicks 28 inches x 12.5 wide on 15s running about 14psi. they just launch you without any tyre spin , unless you load the revs right up. i dont even bother with a warmup burnout. 11.5 118mph short changing 2nd to 3rd, not using tacho. the 121mph came from holding it longer in 2nd.car setup is race built c4 auto 3 speed fully manualised with hurst shifter, jag rear end 3.66 ratio clifford locker.carby is a barry grant 850, my 60ft times arent that good because i use a edelbrock super victer intake which are not good for making torque down low, a performer manifold would be better. i wanted engine longevity and it makes all its power by 6000rpm [old engine 7200rpm] oh its spinning a cleveland crank in a windsor block with a nicely ported set of victor junior heads. it really is a very mild cam and is impeccable on the street and beautiful to drive. regards tomcat
