Vintage - status of coyote with 10spd auto

We are still building it. Having to make the transmission tunnel taller for the shifter and also sourcing a different torque converter. Also working with Speedhut to make a shift indicator gauge has taken a long time.

We experienced a lot of supply issues due to Covid closures.

But we are getting closer.

I know not many automatic transmissions make it into Cobras of any type but does anyone know if there has been one with a ZF 8HP90 (this is the 8 speed automatic that comes in a Hellcat).

Just curious, it seems like that would be a nice auto in a Cobra...its a fine transmission.

I waffle back and forth about manual vs. automatic when I can finally get a Cobra and am curious what different types are used besides the trusty C4, C6 or the OD in the 90's Mustang.

I purchased my first BDR back in 2005 and sold it in 2011. This one had the manual transmission and I had a great time driving it. Now that I am older, I am over the shifting, especially sitting in traffic and working the clutch. I just purchased another BDR from Backdraft and it should be here this week. This one has the Ford SR80 6 speed auto with the electric sport mode shifter. I will let you know how it works after I put a few miles on it.
