got mine at 10 am. with a couple of other guys here.....and the people we delt with were superb!! It looks like, according to this thread, that the numbers are random.....as some got #112 at around 8:45.....and someone else got 351 at same time.......now, I got my #291 at 10.....so go figure! I can say this..........it can be harrowing or somewhat benign......depending on where you go and the level of professionalism you are dealing with. I am sure they will be gone by noon, at the latest........one good story here , though...............there was a guy in our group.......he has a Noble......and paid his fees last year......and as he left the DMV he was at......Costa Mesa, they assured him he had a number, and it was on it's way from Sac.....and he would get in in 2 weeks.......after 2 weeks, he called, and they knew nothing.....he called back, and they said he didn't get one! Now, he is bummed , but restrained......and called the State......they said, sorry, but the DMV made an error, and he couldn't have one that year.....this is after paying 8K in fees!!! So, he writes State DMV head honcho........not only no dice, no reply!! so, he copies and sends to the State DMV controller, and asked if he could at least have a year's TOP for his trouble, and their mistakes! (and the use of his 8K)...NOPE!! so, he is there, and a good guy, trust me, and this time around he is sweating a bit more........but the good news.........he gets his right after mine....and now........off to the road for him.........
have fun guys........I know I will!!!
BTW....the guys I was with today.....were a good group of representatives for this whole body of gear heads........good guys, they deserve their .......WINGS!

Fred Z ......................Happy New year.....

-Just curious..............but how come we have guy's getting #'s in the mid 200 and 300's at 8:25 & 8:55 and then others that got their number at 9:25 and their numbers were in the 100's (142-150)??

BTW: since I work a block or so from the Pleasanton DMV I thought I would drive by and see how long the lines were..........surprise, no lines and the parking lot looked only 1/3 full at 9:00. I almost thought the office was closed as part of the Fed. day off for Pres. G. Ford but then I saw someone go in the front door.

hope everyone that needed numbers got them,
Mike
