Dave,
Sounds awesome ... all that power and now the oil consumption should get back to an acceptable level. Aside from pistons and cam ... any other changes?

I didn't change the cam, only the pistons. I don't know why I gained about 12% in torque and horsepower.

because you have a cylinder chamber that is sealed better. burning oil robs power from your fuel mixture. sealing it better makes more power because you are burning a more pure mix of air and fuel.

That would be true, but I'm comparing the new dyno numbers to the original numbers from three and half years ago, when all bearings, rings, and seals were new. I'm not complaining.

I think you guys are mistaking me for Mr.Hutchings with the loud a$$ pipes hooked to the ERA!! 
Dave is always in front going to Alices! "LIVE BAIT"
Hope you guys get the cars out over the weekend. I'm headed to LA for the Nationals Cheer Comp for my senior daughter!!

Have a great trip to LA and best of luck to your daughter's cheer team! My youngest son is a senior (Homestead HS) as well and I have made many trips all over the state for marching band competitions. I have been a 'Band Dad' for nine years and will miss it.

but you were probably burning oil 3.5 years ago. no?

Nope. Didn't burn oil after the first rebuild. Over time, the weak skirts on the Ross racing pistons (light weight pistons) deflected under load, causing piston rocking when cold and the ring edges rounded and lost seal. This wear occurred over 7k miles.
