Yeah Cindy,
I may be able to make it in April too if you keep to that Saturday. I have a kart race season opener on Sunday 4/22.
My car should be ready around Phoenix time!
Talk soon, John
ps, Great idea Duane. Could be a nice drive & get-together. On second thought, I may be changing a camshaft that day!

Hi Duane & John
that sounds terrific to me. It appears the later in the month is better for most here too. The last weekend in April is bad so the 3rd will work great. John, that kart is calling my name!!!
Coming back yesterday from Tahoe was spectacular...(well, forget driving thru Sac.....) the hills were green, its a great time to be out there. NorCal/CVCC meet in April would be fun! Its spring time and the Cobra is shaking his tires in the garage!!! Lets GO!!!!!!

It looks like we are on for this coming CVCC meeting, the second one for this new group. Each meeting will be for the third Saturday of each month. This month that is the 17th and will be at the Fruityard Restaurant located at 7948 Yosemite Blvd. just east of Modesto on Hiway 132. Time is for 11:00am. Phone number there is (209) 527-0225. The plan is to eat, then head out for a drive up in the nearby foothills including LaGrange, Knights Ferry and then back to Modesto. The weather calls for sunny skies and a temperature of 79 degrees... does it get any better than that? Should be a beautiful day and a beautiful drive. Wish my cobra were painted... Jeff McKay and I can be reached at 209.985.9900 also.

Cindy, any other suggestions? How long typically do these rides last? I won't be able to make this one as the cobra is in the paint shop, but good for other people to know... How many people do you think we will have attend? Thank you, Jeff

Hey Jeff
You know, its hard to say how many because there just hasnt been too many others responding this time. But a ride in the country with 4 or 5 Cobras is just fine with me too! The drive last time was a cruise thru the foothills that kind of went on back to Fresno, some of us cutting off at the appropriate places to go our own way. So maybe an hour? I As long as this weather holds, we can wander a bit and check out the foothills in your area. Rick & John? You guys know that area better than me so throw in your 2 $$ worth!!
Lets maybe count on a group of 10, and that gives us room for ones that dont make it. What do you think?

The route sounds good. Roughly 2 hour round trip back into Modesto, including 1 stop in Knights Ferry. About 80 miles

Hey Rick....I don't feel so bad..someone else is bringing their Harley, so maybe I'll bring mine, and besides Cindy says Harley's fit in fine with Cobra's. All I have to do to that is clean it........
John

ah heck John, bring the Harley!! They just add some pizzazz to a meet!! But of course you have to clean it up!! I have never, I repeat Never taken my car out dirty!! ......living up here in the sand on roads, snow issues, they miraculously stay clean..... I looked outside and thought I had company this afternoon....then realized it was my truck, just didnt recognize it it was so filthy. Got to love the mountains!!

You go Girl! After talking to you, I called him before you and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I told him I was from the US Weather Bureau and was forcasting warm rain tomorrow for Yosemite!
