Default Build Manual - Steering Column

I built a Classic Roadsters Cobra back in 1995. Had a few problems with the ignition switch this summer. Plan is to pull the motor and replace it also going to pull the column and rebuild the ignition switch. Two problems. I cannot find my assembly manual and do not remember what the steering column came out of. It is a GM tilt column. Does anyone have a assembly manual and a list of the recommended parts. I would have used what ever column was recommended.

Thanks
Fred

Fred,
Original column called for was a Tilt out of a chevette. Now it is better to contact Flaming River and tell them it is a CR Cobra, pricey but well worth it.

Also you van buy a 65' Ford Ignition switch and parts from California Mustang and put the original style ignition in the dash OR you can just order the column with the switch still in the column.

Default Diagrams

DV,
Thanks,
I am removing the steering column. May repair or replace it. Also was wondering about the assembly manual as it has the wiring diagrams. If I replace the column, I will move the accessory switch and ignition switch to the dash. Most likely a push button start switch. I can trace out pin connections for the ignition, turn signals etc, but it will be time consuming. Diagram would help. My car is highly modified and could care less about trying to duplicate the original.

Thanks
Fred

I have a manual. I will look and see what diagrams it has. Send me an email with your email address so I can scan any pages with the info you need and send them to you.

Ididit also makes a GM column that has the GM electrical connections.

Fred;
I agree with elimination of the keys and going to a main switch and an ignition switch with a starter push button. Not only did this confuse the grand theft auto wantabe's in the neighborhood but, I have found this system to be very reliable.
