Default Question on 289 LHD leaf spring frames

Hi All, Newbie here. Ive acquired a replica 289 fia body on a 289 LHD Leaf spring frame. I believe the frame is a replica, but my problem is there are no chassis #s anywhere on the frame. My question is how many manufacturers actually made really close replica frames? Just trying Identify this frame. so I can move forward with this build. Thanks

Superformance makes an accurate 289 leaf spring frame and suspension; however they do not sell their frames by themselves and it would have a serial number on it that would begin with SPO....

Probably not one of theirs, unless someone took a car apart.

Been trying to research this. The story I have is it was sitting in a shop for 20+ years. The guy who owned this was freinds with the owner of streetbeasts but they never did a 289 car let alone a leaf spring car

What gets me is this also was never assembled, as in there are no bolt marks and frame was never painted

My guess is an old HTM 289 frame, 20 years ago think it was somewhat limited to maybe KMS otherwise.

Might be a Sagebrush Roadster (post HTM), either way its better than most.
Take pics of front flare as HT was pretty easy to see.
Assume its a cloth body, not chopper gun. If cloth really thinking HTM or Sagebrush.

It does look like a hi-tech . I have made parts for people that have hi-tech chassis that were not complete and I was able to help them out. Let me know if I can help.

My sound advice is to wait till dark, get yourself a shop light with a 100 watt bulb, and start reviewing the quality of the body. If you are lucky, the builder of the chassis did not use the oblong street beast (their own dimensions and design, not accurate to say the least) body for their dimensions.

Google Street Beast and CMC/Classic Motor Carriage...There is a reason they went belly up in 2010.

I'll leave it at that and wish you the best of luck with your plans.

Bill S.

PS: Plenty of Cobra guys in your area who can assist when needed.
I actually have a mold buck or plug that the body came from. It has a ton of bondo over top of another body. Kind of fattened it up a bit. I have to straighten out my pics to get them to post

HiTech has a very identifiable front flare as foes ERA.
Also there is no lip on rear more comp style.

The thing that I find interesting is the plates for the front and rear suspension cradles have serrated edges, like it was cut using a punch press
