I will try to post up some higher quality images. Those were just some quick pics with my iphone the day of delivery. It took me a while to figure out the image upload limits. Not exactly intuitive. I still haven't figured out how to upload attachments directly to a post. My files were all less than 39Kb but when I tried to upload directly to a post I would just get an "upload failed " error. No indication why. I'm on a MAC running Safari or Chrome. Not sure if that has something to do with it. Either way, I'll try to do better!

I gotta find time to get crackin' on this thing. Wish I had about a month of vacation to knock it out!

Did you have ERA do the rear suspension or are you doing that part yourself? Mine (which was bare kit - not painted) arrived with the rear suspension installed - but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
|
Thanks! Just finished the garage last year. The rear suspension not only isn't installed, it's not completely assembled. I asked them if I could get a discount on it if I did the assembly. What was I thinking !?!

Whatever happened to this build?
It's been a year since we've heard from gasdoc.

And he hasn't even logged on in almost a year and a half. Could be the ol' doc has bit the dust.

Hummm... I hope everything is all right on his end. Not normal to get all the bits in and then go radio silent as it were.

Very true. Anyone, even assembling a semi-roller would have some questions or minor problems to sort out. Must have suffered a life altering event.

Hi guys. Boy, time certainly does fly by. I’m alive and well. No life altering events! I did finish the car and have around 3000 miles on it now. It took me about 5 months to put it together. I kept meaning to update this build log and I did take pictures along the way. I guess I got busy with other stuff and never got around to it. I’ll try to make time this week to dig up those pics and get some posted for you guys. Of note, I did drive the car on the entire 2000 mile Hot Rod Power Tour last year. It was quite a trip considering I left out with only about 750 miles on the odometer. I love the car! It is enormously entertaining to drive and certainly gets plenty of attention!

That's a true testament to the build quality and your manliness. Well done sir! I hope you documented the trip well with photos, videos, logs, etc. Sounds epic, scary and incredible.

That is great to hear! Looking forward to build pictures.
My car should ship by the end of January. Can't wait!

Excellent. Post some pics when you can. Any mechanical glitches on the maiden voyage?
