Car is looking fantastic Glen, When do you envisage motor and gearbox will be in?
Can I ask what diameter master cylinders you are using for front and rear brakes and also clutch?
Cheers

Richard....I finally got around to it.
For master cylinder sizing (street use), I have 5/8" (16mm) for the front circuit and the rear m/cyl at 3/4" (19mm)
Clutch m/cyl size is 3/4"
Note: wheels are 15", discs sized accordingly
Cheers!

Thanks Glen,
That's reassuring as those are exactly the same as what I ended up with for my application. The Wilwood help line suggested I used 7/8" for rears and 3/4" for fronts but I found brake pedal force required was excessive. Just wanted to compare with someone else. I know there are other variables like pedal ratio's and calliper piston sizes to consider as well. My clutch feel and travel is excellent with the 3/4" master.
Cheers

Yes, the 3/4" and 7/8" F/R sizes are more for competition use rather than road use.
Cheers,
Glen

Greetings!
Steering wheel height is described elsewhere, so will just post the pictures here to keep the build thread 'happy'
Here's a pic of the spacers that determine the height of the steering wheel....
And here's the view ahead over the steering wheel....
Visibility of the speedo and tacho is better than I had expected, and access (to driver's seat) is not affected significantly
Cheers!
Glen

Hi Glen,
Do I get the sense that with this ... ... in your post, that you are less than serious with this mock up? You have been a stickler for attention to detail and this in not in keeping with the rest of the build. Having a bit of fun are we?

Yes, it's the plastic tube from my junked Ryobi blower/vac.

Thought you had a screamer pipe coming out with your side pipe, so a turbo we don't know about yet?

It would look even better on your car, Patrick. If you pay the postage charge, I'll let you have it for nothing

Good job Glen, keeping us on our toes Everything good with you? I've been busy moving to my "last" home "fingers crossed". Plus weather here is not Cobra driving yet. Been busy buying & selling new & old friends Cobras, this could turn into a business Cheers Buddy, TommyRot.

Hi Glen,
Your build is really coming together nicely. Nice job with the dash layout, especially considering what you had to dodge and workaround behind the dash, well done.
I am sure you will figure out the door pockets, they are quite handy and well worth the effort.

Thanks Tim. Your comments are always most welcome
Probably not widely known, but I originally had an ERA FIA on order (back in 2011, I think), but had to relinquish my spot in the ERA queue because of extreme difficulties with importation of a car into Australia.
And thanks again Tim; your advice over many years, as well as a continuing supply of information from 'stateside' has been invaluable to say the very least.
There's a percentage of ERA "information" in my car, AP F289
Cheers, mate!

There is quite a gap to be filled between the door sill and the inner "wall" of the monocoque (can just see part of that gap on the left side), so I've started working on the car's door sill kick plates, and then those panels inside that mate up with the sill kick plates.
Door sill:

Working on the door opening kickplates. Now have the RH side kickplate fitted; outer edge is trimmed nicely, but inner now needs more trimming.
Slow job, and I haven't even started on the making up the panels that will fill the gaps on the inner side of the mono.
Cheers!
Glen
....and for those (any?) following this build....no, that is not the exhaust protruding in front of the rear wheel

Richard, I haven't done any wiring yet; that would be the major task ahead.
The engine has to be standard for registration purposes; as you know, that gains an easy tick from Regency Park.
The power-to-weight ratio will be roughly equal to a GLA45; I'm 'mature' enough to not need any further ....'enhancements'.
Cheers!

Absolutely agree with standard engine power Glen, there is an awful lot of blood, sweat & tears, not to mention time and money also invested into these cars. Mine will definitely just be a cruiser.
Cheers
