Team C Racing (CT)
Hi guys, I am new to this forum, and if this is in the wrong section, please move it for me. I am looking to start a project car, and I havent decided what yet, but a cobra replica is one I would like to do. A place near me sells both kits (TCR 427) and factory built ones (Venom 427). The kit is about 16 grand, and the factory built one is 28 grand without an engine or tranny. The kit needs to be assembled and needs engine, tranny, wheels, tires, shifter, linkage, driveshaft and paint. The main difference between the two is the suspension. The venom uses independant BMW fully adjustable suspension. The TCR uses mustang 2 style up front, and a 9" in the rear. You can see more at www.team-c-racing.com. I know the Venoms are built in South Africa, but I dont know the name of the company who builds them. I have a friend who works at Team C Racing, and he says the Venom has trouble with traction even with mildly built SBF's. But the independant is a really nice ride. Do you have of you have any experience with this BMW suspension set up? Any recommendations for more traction? I am worried that if I go with the independant and put too much HP into it, I wont be able to hook up. Thank you.
