My Richmond 4+1 transmission has developed a leak in the front and in the tail housing, I traced the front problem to the bearing retainer gasket and the rear
is the tail housing bushing. I called Richmond Gear and unfortunately they don't have the bushing available (the drive shaft has play in it). Richmond Gear has stop making the street race and road race transmissions so certain parts are unavailable. I'm looking for parts for the tranny to try and repair the leaks, the tranny works greeat with my set up and I really dont want to go to a top loader and the other 5 speed options would be diffcult to work with the gearing I have. The car has a FE428 with a 2.88 rearend and 26 1/5" tires, with the current tranny 5 gear (1-1) im turning 2250 rpms at 60 mph, with the 5 speed OD's and with the .81 5th gear the motor would turn at just over idle at 60 plus I would have to change the drive shaft and probably have to relocate the shifter slightly. I live on Long Island so if anyone knows where I can get parts would be greatly appreciated
