In cars where you lay partially flat, like low mid-engine cars, the crotch belt (or submarine harness) serves a clear purpose in a frontal impact. In a car where you sit bolt upright (like a "cobra") it seems the belt serves no purpose. The Kirkham comes with one installed, but I always tuck it under the seat and wear the standard 4 point harness. Any views on this?
