Nose Art Problems?
On March 4, I placed an order for one of FFR's Nose Art kits (actually got the idea from somebody on the Board who was going to order as well).
The day after my order, I received a confirmation that it had been received. My order was processed, credit card billed, and then expected to hear something back about the item being shipped (2 -4 week window as advertised of their web site). I received a confirmation but nothing about when the item was going to be shipped. I then sent them an e-mail telling them that I thought it was odd to bill my card before the item was shipped (as this is not legal practice within the U.S.), but let it slide.
On March 19 I followed up and received a reply from their Webmaster telling me that it had sold out and that they were making replacements (few weeks). I followed up again on April 2 and received an answer that a problem with the mold had been resolved and that my order would ship in about one-week and to expect a tracking number soon. On April 15 I followed up again and was told that my order would ship by last Friday (April 17th) and that I would get an e-mail confirmation later that evening.
Well guess what, no confirmation received. Followed-up again this morning and so far no response.
I am getting a bit concerned that friends @ FFR may not be telling the truth. Is anybody else having any similar problems at the moment? I want to give them the benefit of doubt, but my little voice is starting to tell me that something is not quite right.
Thanks,
Bob

Where did you order this from?
Is it on FFR's web site?
Nevermind, found it.

Nose wall art
I also wondered about my order as I heard nothing for so long (4 weeks) but since I live in Alaska I am quite used to things taking forever to arrive. It did show up the following week though very well boxed up.
I was surprised that there were no instructions included with the parts but I already had an assembly manual that covered the work involved to cut the holes for the lights so it was no problem for me. I hope they usually include the one page instructions with the nose though for others.
FFR often gets behind with orders as they don't have a lot of everything sitting on the shelf and that causes some bad feelings since we are all so used to instant gratification nowadays. I also hate to have to wait for something to arrive when I have decided to buy it.
My nose has a small damaged area where the mold didn't get properly sprayed with mold release so I have about 12 square inches to clean up and fair. That may be the problem with the mold you were told about. It doesn't take much to ruin a mold.
I am real pleased with mine and plan to hook up the headlights to a spare battery for additional shop lights
Hang tight, it will arrive..... eventually

Hey Guys,
I have 4 nose kits on order for the WCCC.
We added some extras to our nose kits(over-riders & quick jacks)
I got the over-riders a few weeks ago.
I sent FFR an E-mail yesterday asking about nose shipping date.
No response yet. I think I will follow up with a phone call today.
If they don't send instructions, do you think you can post a copy as I own a Midstates.

I have a few noses now. One is at the painter now, the other I did a rattle can job on and put a radio in the center. The FFR nose with all the hardware should look good after paint.
Don't ask why I will have 3 of these around?
Being single is a great thing!

I found one on Ebay. That's the blue one I painted. There is another guy in Fort Payne, AL have one of his. He just got the mold and I was his first run. Looks great and I have that at the painter. FFR when they had it on sale was a great price. It comes with a bunch of hardware.
I'm looking for some cheap headlights and markers for the one getting painted.

Hey, I got all my Nose art yesterday.
They seem a little flimsy, but I guess thats guess that's FFR.
No damage, just some scraches from the way they shipped them.
The nose I got from the guy in AL. is thick & heavy w/ no flexing at all.
Also my Cobra "Midstates" has a very thick body.
Time to start cutting out the holes and get ready for paint.
Cobra lite you have PM
They did not send instructions.

Nose Art Instructions
Asked FFR about instructions and they told me that they are in the process of creating some...so for the moment, none really exist.

Nose Art
Interesting that your nose is thin from FFR.
Mine is really think and stiff, not to mention fairly heavy.
Definitely car body layup.
Maybe they saw it would be smart to save money, material, and weight for wall art by making them thinner. Certainly overkill the way mine is built.
I will bring my cutout instructions to work tomorrow and see how to get the info to any interested. It is not rocket science of course but it is handy to have some guidelines.
I just did a search on FFCobra but didn't find a thread on the body cutouts for more info.
