We are only trying to save you the embarassment of the decimal point shifting several slots to the right in your $0.99 investment should the old bits of stem seal or circlips whatever, or the extra load of the HV pump if fitted decide to commit mayhem at a less opportune time in the future-- oil pump drive's , dizzy gear pins, rear main leaks etc are regular thread subjects around here..

Default I hope you didn't give them the core

Steve V Steve I hope you didn't give the core to Napa. Guys are looking for the correct number parts for restorations. They might not care if there is a little play in the shaft. Some of these guys are the best machinist in the world and can fix any thing. If play is in the shaft, replace the shaft, new bushing in the housing, in bearing in the upper housing instaed of a bushing. I think you get the point. Get the Ford numbers and sell it on the FE forum or e-bay. As long as the housing is not damaged it can be rebuilt, Go get it back iof it looks orginial. Rick.

Rick, I never thought about that. I'll look at it closer tonight, it's still setting on the work bench.

Thanks,
Steve
