race fuel requires different curves to the jetting and different emulsion tubes.
IMHO a carb set up for race fuel would be a PITA to DD

Question

all i need is most likely a 750 hp?, when i e mailed barry grant last year they reccomended a 825 mighty demon road race but they went under si that was why i was looking at the holley 830's. i have been told to call prosystems i like looking around and researching and hearing different opinions.
this is just a street car so i want the best driveability, i dont want a vacuum secondary carb or one with a choke horn due to height restraints, i know it is not the ideal set up but i want to run a turkey pan.

Buy the carb you like with choke horn and mill it off on an end mill.

I have a Roush 427R. I have used some of the carbs and builders you mention.
The folks that really nailed it for me were AED Performance.

AED Performance Racing Carburetors, Holley Carburetors, and Performance Holley Carburetor Parts

Check out their website. You might want to give them a call. They are very knowledgable and good folks to work with.

There will be no off the shelf carb that will be perfect out of the box. I promise.

If you don't need a choke, I would use a Quick Fuel Q-750. I build them custom to fit each engine...you don't have to worry about "race calibrations" or "competition" curves. You get the carb with the correct IFR's, air bleeds, jets, etc. and about all you'll have to do is check the float levels and set the idle.

I dyno'd a 351C yesterday. The customer supplied a Holley 850 DP carb to go on it. We dyno'd it and it made 420hp @ 6200 with that carb. We stuck one of our Quick Fuel Q-650's on it and it made the same horsepower.
