Ordered KC/Pond 482 today

I'm going to hazard a guess and suggest that Sam's issues with getting off the line and low rev driving vs Rodknocks, probably has more to do with the weight of each of their flywheels.
Ill guess that Sam's is a light weight aluminuim job and Rodknocks is a little heavier

Sam, Rodknock what are your flywheel stats please?

27# McLeod Al/Steel. It will accommodate a 12" clutch. I once had a Hays 40# steel but I pulled a groin muscle trying to mount it once ... But there are some *light* FWs out there. I think a 14# one exists. Not sure why ...

Also, before someone asks, it is a 3.31:1 axle ratio Jag/ERA IRS and the T-600 .82 o.d.

I use the FE parts list prepared by the Kirkhams for BH/FW/Clutch/PP and I have a McLeod Hyd TOB. 12" clutch w/kevlar pads on the FW side, organic on the PP side.

Dimis, where have you been? I'll give you hint. I love to go with the least amount of weight as possible, so Kirkham, aluminum block, heads, etc., QuickTime bellhousing and I'm looking for magnesium wheels.

Incidentally - material may be Alu, but how much does it weigh?

Ps. Have you thought about helium to lighten your wheels till those mag mags get made?

I have a MCL563210, which is 18 lbs.

Don't EVEN get me started on those mag wheels.
