I am in the market for a Webber setup for my 427? What advise can anyone give and what to watch out for? Does anyone know who might have a complete set of sale? I appreciate your input
Thanks
Dan

Dan-
I know of two websites that offer Weber setups:

One is Finish Line, and the other is Inglese Induction:

http://www.cobraaccessories.com/
http://inglese.com/index.html

Hope this helps

Default Webbers

Hey Gary I posted this before I bought the set on ebay. I am in the process of rebuilding them. I have gotten a lot of help from Enzo at Finish Line as well as the people at Pierce Manifolds. I was lucky in that the Webers had most of the correct internal parts that I would have needed to set them up for a 427. I just got the stacks back today from the company that chromed them. The person that I bought them from said that he pulled them off of an orginal cobra about 10 years ago. They are really turning out nice. I can't wait until I put them on my new engine and start tuning process. I use the Desk Top Dyno program and by adding webers alone to the engine that I am building, it increased the torque about 55-60 ftlbs. It has been a good winter project.

Hi Dan. Webers are very nice carbs, but they need alot on work to make them run well. 48mm carbs are limited to the rpm of the engineand size talk to enzo about the total flow per cylinder. They go flat on a fe 484 motor at about 6700 rpm. If you saw Dave Salkowski cobra in Kit Car 2 or 3 issues ago he is running a rare set of 58mm carbs and red lines at 7200 rpm. He spent over 50 hours on the dyno to sent his system up. You have to remember that 1 carb works one cylinder for all the flow. If you like fuel injection take a look at TWM inductions at their system. Their throttle bodys go to 52-54 mm, and I love my Fuel injection system on my car once it was set up. Good luck Rick Lake
