Is this a REAL 428SCJ motor?
Edatman Before you mess with this motor, Is this an orignial SCJ motor from a Drag pack car?? If so, Hold it, where's the CAR? Anyway Go find a 390 motor in the junk yard or build one from scratch. You can build a windsor motor at about 2/3 the cost of an FE motor. There is TOO much info to talk about for this question. I am not trying to blow you off. If you are going racing, a 427 windsor will do the trick. You can buy a crate motor with a warranty for 2 years and have 500 hp and tork. You will not get this to the rear tires unless to go to 575 hp. This is more a race motor than street motor. You are looking at 8-10K for a windsor motor and about 18K and up for a PRO built FE motor. You can save about 30% by putting the motor together yourself if you have mechanic skills.
