Great site and excellent communication! I am excited to be here and have some questions for the experts!
I am currently accumulating parts to build a 427 wanna be (or as close as possible), for performance street use, stroked 390 with a 428 crank. I have the 390 block, .020" forged pistons, re-conditioned rods (polished beams, shot peened, re-bushed) by Speed O Motive, 428 crank, 390 SFI flywheel, Comp Cam 290 dur./545 lift (Hyd. flat tappet), GT-390 heads, Original aluminum intake Tri-Power set-up.
Questions / recommedations:
1.) Can I use the 390 flywheel with the 428 crank? Does crank have to be re-balanced "0" internal?
2.) What roller rockers?
3.) What headers?
