ha! you may be right. thanks for the help guys. i'll look into the aluminum heads too. if i get the block drilled though will it be worth it in resale value later on?

No, and it will only be seen when you have your car up on a lift. Not doing it will also save you from having to answer the question "Why did you cross-bolt your mains for 400 hp?"

Just cut the heads off some old bolts and epoxy them onto the side of the block
