I don`t disagree that it is best to remove and fix ... however , it can be fixed on the car , but it is a pain . Had that problem on my 427 Galaxie . Make sure you know exactly where the leak is and then degrease that area thoroughly... and then do it again . I used The Right Stuff and applied it so it covered the back of the intake , the corners of the block etc . Let it dry overnight . Be generous with the application . It wasn`t pretty , but it worked ... and it was on the rear corner of the intake up next to the firewall . I also taped a mirror to the firewall so I could see what I was doing ... and remember , everything will be backwards .
So far , its been there for several years . Make sure it isn`t a valve cover leak first .
