Windshield Tensioner Bar

I've purchased a windshield tensioner bar from Finish Line and it seems to be too short. About 1/2" atleast, it is 1/2" from inserting the bottom of the rod through the lower mounting hole. I was wondering if this was an FFR problem or should it fit?
