inspite you called me silly ;), i must say that i really like your paint scheme

old english white with black wheels and white roundels is exactly the scheme my cobra will be painted soon :)
and yes, everyone can choose the color he likes most

Yes, can you explain why your side stripe has "Ford" on it? "Superformance" or "GT40" yes, or even "Safir", but your car isn't a Ford. .....

maybe because there is a FORD engine inside? ;)

Actually, his engine is aftermarket, not made by Ford. ;)

IIRC, the Lotus Elise uses a Toyota engine, but still sticks Lotus on the rear facia. Mike's car is made Superformance, which has a license from Safir to use the GT40 name. So Superformance or GT40 is proper, not Ford. But owners can paint anything they want on their replica.

But I'm just giving Mike a hard time. It's his build, uh, for the 2nd time. :)

Hey RK, I hear whites the new beige. Wait a while, it will grow on you.

Enjoy,

Well, I'll say this, I'm having my oatmeal with chia, hemp and flax seed right now, and then I'm off to the gym. :D

I don't do metrics, but weight isn't important, body fat % is. You could be 85kgs with 8% body fat, or 85kgs with 18% body fat. :)

As for white, to each his or her own. But if I'm repainting my replica of a race car, I'm painting it an eye popping color. But at least white is better than beige. Who would paint their race car replica beige. Might as well throw some camouflage paint on there instead. Blech.

It's a slight shade off from pure white. Definitely not a beige.

Bernica 07-10-2016 03:26 PM

Yup. Just a slight tint of cream color in the white for the Old English, but not enough to make it beige!

I'm not curious at all and please take that sort of "curious" talk over to the rainbow people forum okay?

I'm curious why Mike is being a jerk now? Getting blind isn't too funny I think.

MHNCO 07-10-2016 05:14 PM

Hmm when you were sending me emails and acting like a friend you mentioned the Las Vegas traffic being too heavy and not liking the poor visibility?

Do you still own the Cobra?

timsullivan 07-10-2016 05:38 PM

Giving up a 991 GT3 for a Superformance GT40 is just plain stupid.

Actually not that far off. Prune juice is for old people who are constipated. Today we juice cleanse. :D Pressed Juicery, which consists of:

GREENS 3
apple
celery
cucumber
ginger
kale
lemon
parsley
romaine
spinach

I didn't feel it was necessary then (nor really, now) to explain why. When you have only one eye driving in heavy traffic is problematic. Right side vision is nil, and couple that with the huge GT blind spot makes it not fun Then add two cataract surgeries (both sides) and loss of peripheral vision it's tough to navigate in heavy traffic. The last time I had the GT out was in February for C&C, previous was in December for emissions. So the reality is, I'm not afraid to drive the GT, I can't drive the GT (comfortably). I'm now AFRAID to drive my wife's Honda. Fortunately I don't have to do that often either. The Honda has a right side blind spot camera too, thank goodness you can turn it on without activating the turn signal. I waited for the 2016 MY for it it be standard.

No, I sold the Cobra to get the GT.

Actually, prunes are one of my favorite "fruits". Not to excess mind you but I do like the taste of them. I like the ones in juice. For dried fruits I like apricots best.

That's funny! But he'd probably hurt himself before bending the steering wheel.

I'd be scared to drive it too. They're $250,000-300,000. I'd buy a used Superformance for $130,000 like that red one and not worry as much.

MHNCO 07-10-2016 07:50 PM

Mecum Denver just had one of the vaulted heritage cars no sale at $240. The only cars that brought money were the heritage wrapper cars. The bottom is falling out of that market as all the speculators have moved on.

Bernica 07-10-2016 07:55 PM

I believe the word is "vaunted", but you are the writer. Again, well thought out and written. Keep up the good work....
