You forgot one Rod. Practicability! Not sure where you would mount such a contraption on a GT40. Can we get back to talking about outrageous service costs on the new V6 powered Ferrari err I mean Ford?

IMO, your SPF GT40 is worth less to me, and most in the resale market, because it has a $20,000+ 302/4bbl, which 99.99% would have to pull out and rebuild since no one, but no one, would ever build a 302/4bbl and drop into an SPF GT40.

Hi Guys,
I just thought I would jump in on this thread being an owner of an RF GT40 here in OZ, I can attest to what MHNCO is saying, as I have been at plenty of car gatherings with some big dollar "Super Cars" including the Ford GT and when I drive my GT40 replica in, almost everyone will stop, stare and come ask questions as soon as the door is opened - it's something I can't explain other than to say that the Iconic status of the GT40 is greater due to the history surrounding the Lemans victories back in the late 60's..
Here's a couple of shots of my Twin Turbo GT40..
Cheers
Wil

Thanks, it is insanely quick, and puts the power to the ground really nicely - although if I plant the accelerator in any gear from 1-3 at any stage after 4400rpm it will start to wheel spin... My tuner wants to push the boost up to 10psi to hit the 500RWKW mark, but I won't let him as it is pushing so much power and massive torque figures now with a 5.0L engine, I love it
I am currently in the process of scratch building another GT40 of my own chassis design, if anyone is interested in seeing this come together I could start a separate thread I guess?
Here the silver GT40 with her sister that is up for sale.
Cheers
Wil

Didn't the small block and big block variants in GT40's have humble beginnings, like sedans and peekumup trucks?

A V6, pickumup truck powered, tractor sounding, Ford will never be a Ferrari. Have you submitted your Youtube video yet begging for one? Can we see?

No need to share my Youtube video I have been selected for the opportunity to purchase a new Ford GT. I am sure everyone will prefer your replica of the original over it, so I will just drive and track it. I will be glad to make the same offer if you want to compare performance however.

Hey Cobra #3170, meant to say congrats on being one of the chosen ones! That's great news. Drive it like you stole it!!

But Ford's kicking ass with a peekumup motor!
If they had a V8 or V12, well, that just wouldn't be fair.

Ford's global strategy is just that, global.
Gov't Motors and Fiat can try and perfect the pushrod motor all they want but it's not forward thinking. Besides, Ford is kicking ass with its new GT halo car. And its motor is related to a peekumup motor. Sounds like history repeating itself to me.
We shouldn't take away their successes or bad mouth them because they're veering away from our replicas.

Just a few days ago, I posted a warning to Bernica about scanning an article before posting it, when it contains the phrase "it's not a replica."

Lance Stander (Superformance) makes Forbes

Between Cobra #3170's post of the story board of the SPF GT40 and MHNCO (Mike), I'm reminded of a classic episode of South Park called "Smug Alert":

I think these SPF GT40 owners suffer from the same delusions:

There's also a white/blue stripe 2005 FGT w/8,000 miles for sale by a dealer on the Porsche forum asking $275,000. At least there's blue stripes to break up the monotony of the refrigerator white.

OK, this is "ironical". I found these 2 videos when searching with google for "Roush Engine Problems" or "Roush Leaks." Go figure.

It's MHNCO's GT40, I assume with his old Roush 427W engine, moving his car from trailer to the shop:

And driving the highway to a car show:
