Funny...that's not what he calls you to me.

The write ups were well appreciated, btw.

Why-oh-why did you have to tell that insufferable twit??
Dog pictures, Rube Goldberg 'tools', storage bags, clutch fork pics and legal advice-don't we have enough??
Honestly, in near three decades, I never spritzed the bleeds. I had them on the bench exactly twice to go through them with new gaskets and once to change the squirters. But not because they gave trouble-they always worked perfectly.
Now you've unleashed another whole batch of Sheldon Cooper junk science...

I've read here and elsewhere that the ethanol is attacking the old school Holleys. My "carbs from another mother" (aluminum), didn't develope this issue even after thousands of miles. The 660s did on the Paxton motor did. At this point I can't remember if it was the idle or main bleeds (think it was the idle bleeds), but 3 were blackened, the rest clean as can be. At any rate, it worked and I'm very happy.
BTW, if Patrick's dog winds up in that cocoon, we'll knw you were in town.
Besides, it was getting boring around here.

I doubt that would happen. I'm sure Patrick sets out Ellie's outfits every morning and her table setting at the family dining table for each meal. So there's no way Ellie could go missing for very long.
And yes, it has been a bit boring around here. Maybe everyone is deciding to buy the new C7 Corvette and sell their Cobra's instead.
Or maybe they're just joining Buddyg's new SPF Forum and speaking amongst themselves over there.

The main bleeds, as opposed to the idle bleeds, are smaller in diameter, so I have special "thin" straws that fit inside the regular carb cleaner straw so it doesn't blast back up in to your face. It fits down in to the main air bleeds, nice and tight, just like the fat straw does in the idle bleeds. I would post a pic of them, but ol' Chas might get his nose out of joint.... Tell him once again how crappy your car was running before cleaning them, and how great it's running now, and how wonderful you think I am....
