David, Your killing me! How can I watch my favorite Football game and keep refreshing this post! Ugh!! Now I can't go to sleep, I might miss that FIA body that Mr. Mustang is looking for! I'm still looking for a "defective billet block" for a coffee table! Do you ever go home, just kidding I'm envious!

Actually, I am working on setting up some rings for our gym
We are back working on the billet block again. Hopefully not too many of them are defective. The billet is almost $2000
I will post a few more things here shortly.

David,
If the footboxes will fit an original style 289, I'll take a left and a right.

I think we have a set of 289 boxes...but I am not sure. I will check. Most people in the original cars over the years have put the 427 boxes in the 289 cars. It gives you a LOT more room for the exhaust. Let me know either way.

David,
Do the 427 boxes mount the same way as the 289 versions and is there any more leg room? I could use a couple more inches.
Thanks,
Jay

They mount the same way, but there is less room as the 427 boxes are smaller than the 289 boxes.

If the 427 boxes are smaller, I guess I need to stick with the 289 style. If you find a pair of those, I'll take them.
Thanks for putting all of the goodies out there for us.

I'll take the differential. There's always next year for buying Christmas presents!
Do you want me to call you Monday about payment/shipping?

Yes, you can just call in on Monday with everyone else
There were 2 other guys wanting this, but I knew it wouldn't last long. There MAY be another one, but I really don't think so. The shop is buried in parts all over the place right now.

David, what has been changed since 539? CV joints?
Also, are you talking gymnastics rings? What are you guys doing over there? The "iron cross"?
BTW, if that rear end had a ratio of 3.54, I think I would have taken it. I don't want to go down numerically though.

Yes, gymnastic rings. They are a great work out device.
Like I said, I will look for another differential. I don't think there is one, however.
Yes, we run CV's now and it makes a big difference in the rear end. The rear suspension doesn't bind up any more coming out of a turn.

I most certainly appreciate the words of caution! The destabilizing of the rings works many muscles at once. I am starting very slowly. Push ups, pull ups, dips (all assisted in one form or another). I did my first work out on them last night. (That was the whole purpose of cleaning out the attic in the first place--which started this thread.) I used to climb a lot. Trying to get back into shape. Maybe I should start a Kirkham gym thread

more 289 parts
Hello David, Do you have a 289 nose without the oil cooler opening? How about a set of shocks for an original 289?
I will call tomorrow to pay for the billet brake containers and ask for more 289 parts.
thanks, karl

Hey David, are you doing some R & D on the next project? Maybe the "Kirkham Office Gym"? Please, not until my car is done! Lol. Darren

For all you 289 guys out there.
This is a nose off a 289 FIA. The nose is not yet wired. (I did a YouTube on that some time ago for the adventurous.) The Coupe in the background is not for sale...yet.
I just noticed we have 2 of these.
Retail on a nose is $2500. I'll let each one go for $950
I am not sure if this can be shipped UPS. It is right up against the dimension limit.

David,
Is this nose basically the same as the 427 SC nose except the lower oil cooler opening?
Thanks,
