I just saw the flip-top at the shop today, it looks awesome!! That engine and flip-top combo is going to be killer.

The Cammer is going to dyno this week.:)

Did you take any pictures of the flip-top?

I'm ashamed to say that I didn't, and I can't give you an excuse why
Maybe I was mezmorized by it I couldn't think enough to take a pic? Thats a good answer :)

Flip-top update: the cammer was dyno'd last week and is on it's way to Provo. Thanks Keith, 724hp is awesome. The body is filed, sanded and being polished. It should be ready by the time the engine arrives. Pick-up should be in a couple of weeks. Darren

Now don't go blowing the damn thing up before the Sonoma get together. :)

I'll be posting pictures today. Sorry I have been tied up on other projects (like a 50 mile race I am getting ready for this weekend).

Holy Smokes!

Only 724hp eh? That's gotta be a real disappointment.

ZOERA-SC7XX 05-31-2011 05:14 PM

I'd take that any day of the week. Beautiful work!

FFR428 06-01-2011 11:40 AM

Very nice thanks for the spy pic.

jmimac351 06-01-2011 04:28 PM

Darren, make sure you get David to throw in free floor mats as part of the deal.

Just..... wow.

Guys,

Fortunately we have had a lot of customers lately who want really special cars (copper, bronze, flip-tops and the like). NOW, we have a customer who wants a "Supersnake" with a little extra spice--twin Paxton blowers

Now that Sandwich is done with all the cool parts for Darren's car (but our other guys are still working on the interior paneling and other details to finish Darren's car) I figured I'd turn Sandwich loose on figuring out how to package those monsters under the hood (and over the frame and around the steering and...)

Thomas and Sandwich put their heads together and came up with a beautiful solution.

The stacks will be trimmed to fit under the normal hood scoop--no problem.

Here is a front-on view of the twin Paxton blowers and the custom brackets we CNC'd.
